What is wet stone?
Whetstones, or wet stones, are used to sharpen the edges of steel tools and instruments, such as knives, scissors, scythes, razors, wood chisels, hand scrapers and plane blades, by grinding and sharpening.
Often wet stones are used with cutting fluid to improve sharpening and evacuate chips. Those used with water for this purpose are often called water stones or water stones, those used with oil are sometimes called oil stones or oil stones.
